Mani sir’s film is a celebration for cinephiles. The euphoria is so much that the entire industry wants ManiRatnam to emerge as a winner.
First of all this isn’t one persons opinion, I promise you this is one of the best Manirathnam’s movie ever. I feel like the other people saw a completely different movie.
Having said that, what’s amusing about Mani sir is his ability to extract the visual output from cinematographers. Cinematography is a big asset, no surprises because Mani loves his shots to be picture perfect. AR Rahman’s soundtrack is the icing on the cake.
Like most of his films, Mani sir uses nature as a powerful tool for narration. Visually, Kaatru Veliyidai is beautiful, beyond anyone’s imagination.
With Mani sir, the premise doesn’t matter, the characters do. And the way they fall in love.
Conclusion: Kaatru Veliyidai is for grownup audience. Others please ignore watching it.
